Arizona Parenting magazine has been a trusted local resource for Valley
families for more than 17 years. Our diverse, affluent and educated readers
rely on the magazine for more than just information; they are looking for
a sense of community and the knowledge that they are not alone in raising
a family. With a monthly distribution of more than 70,000, Arizona Parenting
spans a wide variety of social, economic and geographic groups and provides

changes deemed appropriate.
Needs: We write for local parents, so stories need to address
timely, regionally relevant issues and areas. Features and columns focus
on helping parents raise their children and to enjoy the wealth of family-friendly
resources in Arizona. Content includes Q&A with locally and/or nationally
prominent people. Most articles require localized sidebars, as well.
Art/Photo Needs: 300 dpi (original size) jpeg images.
Length: Columns, features and vignettes range from 600
to 1,600 words in length.
Payment: Payment for assigned features varies per piece.
Reprints pay $25 to $50 pending length.
How to Submit: Microsoft Word attached as well as full
story in body of email.
Response Time: Please remember that we receive many more
submissions than we can use. We may not be able to respond personally to
every query.

Calendar Submission Guidelines
Events listed in the Arizona Parenting calendar are typically:
• free or low-cost activities
• targeted to parents or families
• annual or featured events that may require paid admission, but are
decided to be important community or entertainment attractions applicable
to families and kids.
Examples: holiday events; parades; workshops; classes; street fairs; weekend
festivals; local children’s plays; children’s character concerts;
etc.
To submit your event, email lynda.exley@azparenting.com the following:
• event name
• date and time
• location and address
• short description
• cost
• fee
• appropriate age range/restrictions
• public contact phone number
• Web site
Calendar Photos
300 dpi (original size) jpeg images are accepted, but Arizona Parenting
cannot guarantee return. You must include images if you would like to be
considered for a Calendar Spotlight.
Calendar Deadline
Submissions must be received by the 15th of the month two months out (so
June 15 for the August Calendar) to be considered for inclusion.
* All submissions will be considered for publication. Inclusion is based
on editorial space and event relevance at the discretion of the calendar
